At Liverpool Christian Church, we believe that everyone, regardless of their position in life, their past, their present, their hair color, skin color, favorite football team, or whatever has the RIGHT come and explore who God is without fear that they won’t be accepted, or loved.

At LCC, we seek and strive to be that kind of place.  A place where everyone can come explore who God is.  The bible teaches that Jesus died so that “perhaps some may choose Him” and we want to be a place where everyone is given that opportunity.

Car Wash and Carnival – Saturday August 6th – 11-1pm

That’s right, a totally FREE car wash and carnival. Saturday August 6 from 11-1.

When was the last time that a church did something totally FREE for the community without any expectations of return? Umm, I can’t think of a time.

That however; is exactly what we are doing. Free Carwash, Free Carnival, free food, facepainting, and fun, all for the price of FREE. WHY would we do this?

Simple, we want to be a blessing to the community. We want to provide a cool little service for the people of Liverpool to take advantage of with NO EXPECTATIONS of church attendance or “donations.”

Just come, get your car washed, eat a hot dog, let your kids play, and leave or hang out. Your call.

Don’t Drive Dumb….

Stop HERE to use your phone.

Let’s be honest, it’s just not safe to drive while on the phone, or texting. We understand though that you absolutely MUST retrieve your Facebook updates, text’s from boyfriends, and latest sports scores.

Just do it safely in a parking lot. We’ve got one.

Not only for you and your own family, but for all the other people driving around with you.

Easter Sunday is ROCKING!!!

Easter Sunday is ROCKING!!!

Man, that sure is sacrilegious.

Nope, Jesus ROCKED the stone away, and walked out of the tomb which once held his dead, lifeless body.

Why did He do that?  Oh man, He did that for you and for me.  He did that to start a RELATIONSHIP with you and I that cannot be matched in today’s world.  Jesus did not rise from the dead to start a new religion, but He rose from the grave to start a new RELATIONSHIP with you.

Easter is about YOU. At it’s core, Easter, and everything that Jesus did is about opening THE door to a relationship with God.

On Easter Sunday, we will start a 3 week series called “PLASTIC JESUS.”  During our teaching time, we will seek to expose the “Hollowness of Comfortable Christianity” by discovering our Identity, our need for Intimacy, and the real Brokenness of life.

We love this community. We love having fun. We think that Jesus could cheer for Syracuse. I mean, ORANGES are good for us, and God made oranges, so it seems that God wants us to cheer for the orange.

O.K. it’s a joke, but we do love this community, and we love supporting it.

Enough Is Enough

Christianity is supposed to be simple. It’s true. Life, and a lack of trust in God makes it more and more complex. Further, when Christian people live lives that are inauthentic and hypocritical no one wins. People who need Jesus don’t see Him because people who “have” Him really only have a belief system.

Christianity is about relationship. Jesus died to make a way for us to have a relationship with Him. It’s that simple. Love God, Love Others, Serve The World.

Love God, Love Others, Serve The World

That’s it, that’s what it’s all about.

Love God, Love Others, Serve The World, is so much more than a slogan for LCC. We are seeking to make this phrase our way of life. Why are we seeking? Well, none of us claims to have achieved this, and even if we do, well then we have an arrogance issue to deal with.

Here’s how it happens:
Love God – This happens best through a weekly encounter with God in a corporate worship environment.
Love Others – This happens best through a weekly and sustained encounter with other people in an informal LifeGroup setting.
Serve The World – This happens best through church-wide service projects and individuals making themselves available to God on a daily basis.

We cannot find anything in scripture more important than these three things. I mean, when Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was he replied

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Now, can you see why it is more than just a slogan. Our desire is to Love God, Love Others and Serve this world, but not because we want people to attend LCC, we want to do this because of the love that Jesus has already shown to us. NO strings attached. No water bottles with our website. Nothing. We want people to see Jesus through our love and service.

Plain and simple.

Totally FREE Carwash and Carnival – Saturday 10-2

That’s right, a totally FREE car wash and carnival.

When was the last time that a church did something totally FREE for the community without any expectations of return?  Umm, I can’t think of a time.

Think religion is lame? So do we.

Jesus did not come to earth to establish a religion.  Jesus came so that he could establish and build a relationship with you.  Whether you know it or not, You Matter To God.  He will take care of you, and He alone will love you through your junk.

Jesus came to destroy the old law (religion) and create a new thing by forgiving our sins.  Guess what, this happened even though we DID NOT deserve it.  In fact, Jesus came to love us while we were still wrapped up in our sin.  Look at what Colossians 3:13-15 says

When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s cross. He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets.

How cool is that to have Jesus as your advocate.  Jesus was also described by the “religious” people to be a friend of sinners, a claim that Jesus never refuted.  He loves us.  He loves you.

I think that is a pretty cool place to rest don’t you?
